Nina Poláková, born in Trnava (Slovakia). After her graduation at the Dance Conservatory Eva Jacz in Bratislava, she was engaged as a Soloist by the Ballet of the Slovak National Theatre. She joined the Vienna Stateballet in 2005 where she is in a rank of Principal dancer.

Her repertory includes main parts as a Kitri in „Don Quixote“ (R. Nureyev), Odette/Odille in „Swan lake“ (R. Nureyev; D. Dean), Raymonda in „Raymonda (R. Nureyev) , Manon in „Manon“ (Sir K. MacMillan), Baronesse Mary Vetsera „Mayerling“ (Sir K. MacMillan), Giselle in „Giselle“ (E. Tschernischova), Olga Spesivtseva in „Giselle Rouge“ (Boris Eifmann), Carmen in „Carmen“ (D. Bombana), Snowqueen in „The Snowqueen“ (Michael Corder), Medora in “Le Corsaire“ (Manuel Legris), Nikia in „La Bayadere“ (Vladimir Malakhov), Princess Aurora in „Sleeping Beauty“ (Sir Peter Wright), Princess Maria in „The Nutckracker“ (Gyula Harangozó), La Sylphide in “La Sylphide“ (Pierre Lacotte), Julia in “Romeo and Julia“ (John Cranko), Tatjana and Olga in „Onegin“ (John Cranko), Marguerite in „Marguerite and Armand“ (Sir F. Ashton), Romola Nijinsky and Armide in „Le Pavillon d’Armide“ (John Neumeier), Solveig in „Peer Gynt“ (Edward Clug).

And the leading roles in choreographies from George Balanchine, Serge Lifar, Jerome Robbins, Hans van Manen, Rudi van Dantzig, Twyla Tharp, Jiří Kylián, Nils Christe, William Forsythe, David Dawson, Helen Pickett, John Neumeier, Thierry Malandain, Christopher Wheeldon, Mauro Bigonzetti, András Lukács, Edwaard Liang, Liam Scarlett, Jorma Elo, Patrick de Bana, Natalia Horecna, Ashley Page… She has appeared as a guest dancer in many European Countries and overseas.
