Born in Cali, Colombia, Oscar Chacon trained in Classical ballet at the Instituto Colombiano de Ballet Classico Incolballet.

In 2004, he joined the Bejart Ballet where he became the principal dancer for 12 seasons. In 2016 he received the Ballet 2000 Prize for dancers who have performed with the biggest international companies.

The same year, he was invited by Tamara Rojo, director of the English National Ballet who created the role of Hilarion in Akram Khan’s Giselle, and then continued his career at English National ballet.

He dances regularly with his partner Kateryna Shalkina.
